It's been a while since I last blogged. Seems there were a lot of problems trying to get access to my blog spot here. I had addressed it time and time again but to no avail.
So now here it is that I am able to access my blog and have noticed it has changed a lot. I am not sure I care for this but I will ride it out and see.
I have so much to blog about but just seeing this change has me completely discombooberated ( and I know it's not a word, but it is one I use).
So maybe I'll just take a look see and blog at a later date. If I don't care for what I see i may go to another blog site and try them out.

Springing Ahead
Well it has been a while since I last blogged. Much has taken placed over that period of time. So without boring you too much I will tell you what has taken place with me.
The place I work at merged with Mercy Health Partners and we are now part of that entity. Lots of changes and lots of learning process. But it's all good. Computer and new software and paper. (I thought we were paperless....silly me)
Then in January my niece had her fourth child. A boy they named Connor. Looks like his daddy and oh my gosh , my niece keeps me in stitches with her stories of her family. Never a dull moment with Lauren.
In February we welcomed a little granddaughter into the world. Dixie Joleane Craver was born 2/9/2012 at 10:35pm and was 20 1/2 inches long and weighed 7lbs 2oz. She is now six weeks old and getting to be very observant.
My yard is looking nice , thanks to my son. He found a burst of energy and cut the yard , weeded the flower beds and mulched. The days he did that was in the upper 70's.
I have been re-re-re-editing my WIP and I hope this time it's a go. I really hate to whittle something way down. But we'll see.
And with the change in the hours "Spring Ahead" I get worn out before 10pm. What the heck....Guess I'll have to get my body accustomed to it. But then it will be time to "Fall Back".. can't win.
Well it seems as though I have bored you enough with my rambling so I will sign off and hope to be back on real soon.

Super Bowl ...Game Plan.....
Super bowl....ugh!!!!!...Don't get me wrong now...I love sports but I have come to my own conclusion that these guys get paid entirely too much for the sport. And it has become a field of constant fights and disagreements.

I won't be watching the game. Instead I will be trying to think of how I can turn my book around so it will be published. It is hard to take something that you have created and cut and whittle until it no longer looks recognizable to you. But the editors today want to take a piece of work and suggest that it be re-wrote out this way and that way.

I am new to the writing world as far as being published. Right now I have "zero" published works. But it will change, I'm sure.
So just like the game of football I must come up with a game plan for not only defense but for offense too. I will have to re-familiaize myself with the playing field and see what the odds are and if I can make the tackle and make that touchdown.

So until later

Hello Again
I'm back. I was absent for a while.Writer's block or something like that. ..No the real reason was that I became so busy that I completely lost track of keeping up the blog.My bad.
Well let me update all of those who follow me. My son will become a new daddy in about four weeks. His first. The girl he is with and soon to marry ( they've been together for two and a half years) has a little girl who is going to be four in July.
So we are all preparing the upcoming arrival. He goes to the doctor's visits and he plans on being in the delivery room. I have been elected to keep tabs on little Miss Mariah. "Lord help me"...No really she is totally precious and I adore her.She is smart as a whip and then some.
Others things happening with me is that I have tried and tried to edit my story the way the publisher wants and I still can't get it right. I guess I don't want to rearrange my story.
So I will keep plugging away and keep trying to make the story the way the publisher wants it, to see if it will be taken .
I am beginning to think that maybe I am not suppose to be a writer, even though I have so many stories in me. I will continue to put them down on paper and maybe, just maybe one day they will get published.
Well the weather here in the southwest part of Ohio is cold and icy. Last night we had icy rain and the temperatures have plummeted. Tonight it is 28 and expected to go down to 19. Brrrrrrrr. Now that 's bone chilling.
I have been trying to get caught up on my reading and I have read and finished "5" books. I tend to get involved deeply in them if it grabs me.
I read Sharon Sala's The Healer. Wow!!! I loved it, But then I loved the first book of hers that I had and that was The Dream Catcher. I loved the book so much that I still re-read the book. It has become one of my favorites.
Diane Cosby has one I read "His Captive".... I became immersed in that one. I have read a couple of Kay Springsteen's. She has really good books.
I have become friends with a lot of authors on facebook. They are truly genuine people. My cousin Diane Craver has great books. I've read all of hers.
So even though I have nothing published as yet , I still have not given up hope . I always look for the sunny side ..
Until later

Jingle. Jingle, Jingle, Ho Ho Ho
The Christmas season is my very favorite time of year. I love the excitement that shows in children's faces and see how they interact.
I love to look at the dressed up store fronts. But then I love Christmas decorations. I love the Carole's and like to sing along.
I usually get my tree around the 15th of the month . We go to a local tree farm and cut one down. Oh ..it's a process I'm here to tell you. My son , who by the way is 28, insists on getting a live tree. He has been adamant about this ritual from the time he could understand. But I like a live tree also.we get in the car and go to the tree farm and we look at all of them and go back and forth deciding which is the best.

Then after we finally cut it down it is time to take it to the car and strap it on and haul it home to be put up.

So now the tree is home and we put it in the stand to let the branches relax. it is starting to smell like pine. Ahhhhh. Love the smell of a pine tree. It just sets you in the mood. So we haul out all of the decorations and look to see what we have.

It's such fun to just take your time and decorate the tree. the first thing we do is place the lights. We have them on so we can see where we are placing them. We may have to arrange them more than once before we are satisfied. Once the lights are on we place the ornament and candy canes and finally the tinsel. the last to get placed on the tree is the tree top star, or angel in our house.
Then we sit back and look at the tree that has transformed into a beautiful thing to gaze at.

Now it's just the waiting game for good old St Nick to come. I do love the season. It is so festive and merry.

Here join me in a cup of cocoa and sit and look at the tree with me.

My thoughts on POV
You know the more I have thought about it the more I think that the POV of a person is theirs. It shouldn't have to be fa-naggled around to suit someone else.
Your own personal POV is yours. That's what makes it yours. I like my point of view in my story. And while it may not suit others, I think the whole point of a story is to draw the interest of the reader and to be able to have that reader's interest go all the way with the story they are reading .
So while I am not a published author yet ,I will get there someday. But it will be by how I tell a story. And if my stories never get published, then a lot of people won't get to know me.
The publishing world is a hard place for an author or unpublished author to be. Oh , you get some feed back from up and coming publishers that say "Hey we aren't like the others. Come on and try us" . Well I think I'm satisfied doing what I do. I'll continue to write and blog and if by chance one day someone wants to publish my stories without completely taking away from the original root then so be it.
I put my stories on paper the way I would want to read them. Maybe the POV isn't what some of the people want, but then I dance and march to my own drum beat. And I am too old to change now. So I will keep writing my way and maybe one day they will be told. Just my thoughts.
